They are the backbone of how we ensure the student voice is represented at Conestoga College.

1.2: Board ENDS and Sub-ENDS

 

 

 

CSI's current overall ENDS statement is:

"To enhance student satisfaction and success by providing a variety of student services at a cost justified by the results."

 

 

CSI's Sub-ENDS are:

  1. Students have services support, and resources.
    • Services that meet the demand of the membership.
    • Academic support, including appeals, code of conduct, and academic concerns.
    • Resources that aid to academic success.
    • Health care at a resonable cost.
    • Housing Services that support safe, affordable, and accessible accomodation for all students.
  2. Students have the opportunity to participate in recreational activities, and have access to study spaces and student lounges on campus
    • Recreational activities and events
    • Places to study, relax, and socialize.
  3. Students are heard and represented.
    • The student Board of Directors advocate on behalf of the membership.
    • Student issues are solicited, heard, and brought to the College and all levels of government.
    • Feedback is critical for growth with CSI and the College.
  4. Student have access to skills development
    • Students have access to grow their personal and professioanl skills.

Wellness Services and Supports

SERVICE DESCRIPTION: 

CSI offers quality and affordable health care coverage to students with additional support through practitioner services and wellness programming.

Eligible full-time students are enrolled in comprehensive health insurance plans, providing piece of mind that they can seek proper health care when needed as well as additional wellness programming to ensure their well-being and success during their time at Conestoga. 

 

 

Food and Hospitality Services

MANAGEMENT INTERPRETATIONS OF BOARD ENDS:

CSI is committed to providing exceptional food & hospitality services to students, stakeholders, and the community. It is our ongoing commitment to exceed expectations by providing professional guest service and crafting unique hospitality experiences.

 
SERVICE DESCRIPTION: 

CSI Food & Hospitality services provide students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders a diverse range of on campus food services and unique hospitality experiences. It is our goal to ensure quality, consistent and convenient service to all.

Student Transportation

MANAGEMENTS INTERPRETATIONS OF ENDS:

Deliver affordable and sustainable transportation options that link our students, campuses and communities in a convenient, consistent and safe manner. 

 
SERVICE DESCRIPTION:

CSI will continue to provide safe, reliable and accessible transportation to its student membership through services and advocacy. This includes providing a variety of transportation options that focus on affordability for its users and are both environmentally and economically sustainable.

Marketing and Events

CSI is committed to creating intentionally diverse programming that promotes recreation, skill development, and student connection that fosters a wholesome student experience.

CSI is devoted to creating and communicating information that is timely, relevant, and accurate in ways that promotes and empowers student members to contribute to their communities in a meaningful way 

 
SERVICE?DESCRIPTION:

CSI Marketing and Events enhances the student experience through diverse programming that promotes recreation, skill development, and opportunities for socialization. Through a variety of communication tools students are introduced to CSI’s brand, services, supports, and experiences that can be discovered anytime from anywhere. 

 

Student Support Services

CSI is committed to providing consistent, equitable, and quality customer service,diverse academic supports and spaces that meet the unique needs of our students.

 
SERVICE DESCRIPTION:

CSI Campus Services provides a variety of consistent, equitable, and quality services, supports and programs designed to support students both academically and financially throughout their time at Conestoga.

Leadership and Career Development

CSI is committed to developing programs, spaces and communities that provide leadership and skill development, connections and foster a sense of belonging. 

 
SERVICE DESCRIPTION:

CSI Leadership and Career Development supports the success of all Conestoga Students through community connections and skills development opportunities. CSI generates spaces for students to connect with their peers in both interests based and learning based settings. CSI Leadership and Career Development supports the development of vital soft skills through intentional workshops, conferences, and through volunteer and employment experiences available to all Conestoga Students.

Governance and Advocacy

Provide a platform for the Conestoga student voice to be heard within Conestoga College and recognized across all levels of government, while acting as a contributing stakeholder to create meaningful change focused on the pillars of Accountability, Affordability, Equity, and Sustainability of the student experience

 

SERVICE DESCRIPTION:

CSI is committed to improving the student experience by developing data-driven solutions and empowering students to be change-makers within the Conestoga community and beyond. Students are provided opportunities to engage through surveys, focus groups, committees, town halls, and digital community campaigns to raise awareness of issues related to their student experience with the goal of reducing barriers, creating new support opportunities, and providing a holistic approach to ensuring their student success.

Organizational and Operational Management

CSI is committed to accountable, transparent, and compliant operational practices that ensure the successful execution of the Board of Directors’ ends. 

CSI is committed to providing a safe, equitable and compliant workplace that fosters intentional and meaningful opportunities for students, staff, and volunteers. 

 
SERVICE DESCRIPTION:

The Management and Operations support team exists to ensure that the Board of Director ends are met through the various operations and outputs from all departments within the organization.  The Management and Operations team ensures efficient financial management and financial control, necessary to support all CSI and CSSI business activities, programming, and initiatives. Operations provides support in a managerial and administrative capacity to the overall CSI team, focusing on the following areas: 

  • Organizational Oversight and Operational Strategy  
  • Responsible and Transparent Fiscal Management  
  • Capital Development and Facility Improvements 
  • Compliant and Accountable Operational Practices  
  • Risk Management 
  • Equitable and Fair Employment Practices

Housing Supports:

CSI is committed to providing information and access to housing services, supports and quality resources that meet the needs of our student members. Focused on the pillars of Safety, Accessibility and Affordability. 

 

HOUSING SUPPORT SERVICES DESCRIPTION:

CSI is committed to understanding and addressing the current and future housing needs of all students and will create a multiyear student housing strategy that identifies housing supports which will be strengthened through partnerships with stakeholders, advocacy efforts and new programs and services.
