Why Should You Run For the CSI Board of Directors?
Running for the CSI Board of Directors provides you with the opportunity to represent other students and have their voices heard about the issues that matter to them. It also will allow you to network with Student Leaders from across Canada, advocate at all levels of government to improve student supports, and learn and grow professionally!
Nominate Yourself as a Director Candidate!
To run in the CSI Board of Directors election, you must nominate yourself as a Director candidate.
Any student seeking to run in the election must:
- Be at least 18 years old,
- Be a fee-paying member of Conestoga Students Inc.,
- Be in a Conestoga College program that does not conclude prior to April 30, 2025,
- Understand they cannot hold employment with Conestoga Students Inc. while also acting as a member of the Board of Directors,
- Have a 70% average in the prior semester (unless it is your first semester), and
- Have a clean College Code of Conduct, a clean CSI Code of Conduct, and be a member in good standing.
Complete a Director Nomination Package
If you meet the above requirements, you can complete a Director Nomination Package! This package must be completed in full to run for a position as a CSI Director.
A Nomination Package requires you to:
- Complete our 3 pre-election training modules and include a certificate of completion which must be submitted with your nomination package.
- Submit your most recent Student Achievement Record (if applicable).
- Agree to a college record check.
- Submit a 500-word application that details who you are, why you are running, and what makes you a great student leader.
- Complete a 250-word document outlining your campaign.
- Submit 10 signatures from current Conestoga students who support your nomination.
- Submit 2 faculty endorsements.
- Submit your headshot.

Nominate Yourself as an Associate Vice President (Internal) Candidate!
To run in the CSI Board of Directors election, you must nominate yourself as an Associate Vice President (Internal) candidate.
Any student seeking to run in the election must:
- Be at least 18 years old,
- Be a fee-paying member of Conestoga Students Inc.,
- Be in a Conestoga College program that does not conclude prior to April 30, 2025,
- Understand they cannot hold employment with Conestoga Students Inc. while also acting as a member of the Board of Directors,
- Have a 70% average in the prior semester (unless it is your first semester), and
- Have a clean College Code of Conduct, a clean CSI Code of Conduct, and be a member in good standing.
Complete an Associate Vice President (Internal) Nomination Package
If you meet the above requirements, you can complete an Associate Vice President (Internal) Nomination Package! This package must be completed in full to be considered for a position for the CSI Associate Vice President (Internal) position.
A Nomination Package requires you to:
- Complete our 3 pre-election training modules and include a certificate of completion which must be submitted with your nomination package
- Submit your most recent Student Achievement Record (if applicable)
- Agree to a college record check
- Submit a 500-word application that details who you are, why you are running, and what makes you a great student leader
- Submit your resume including relevant work or volunteer experience
