STEP ONE: Nominate Yourself
To get started, you’ll need to request a Nomination Package from CSI’s Primary Electoral Officer (PEO). If you meet the eligibility requirements to run as a candidate, the PEO will send you a Nomination Package which needs to be submitted by March 10, 2023 at 2 PM.
As a requirement to move forward in the elections process, candidates must also attend an All Candidates Meeting taking place on Monday, March 13, 2023 at 2 PM and 7 PM(candidates need to attend only one of the two meetings). The meetings will take place in person at The Venue on Doon campus and virtually.
Visit our Elections webpage (linked at the bottom of this blog post) to request a Nomination Package, learn more about the role and the required documents to run for the BOD!
STEP TWO: Campaign
So, you have nominated yourself and the PEO has verified your Nomination Package. What’s next? It’s time to prepare your campaign! The campaign period runs from March 20 to March 31, 2023, this is your chance to share your platform and story with your peers and encourage them to vote for you!
STEP THREE: Vote
From March 27 to March 31, 2023 students can vote for their preferred candidates! Candidates can also use this time of their campaign to encourage students to vote for them. Once voting concludes, the PEO will contact candidates and publicly share the voting results through CSI’s communication platforms.
