Don’t fall behind!

With the days getting shorter and the weather getting chillier, it’s easy to forget to take care of your well-being. To stay ahead of the seasonal sadness, we’ve come up with some tips and reminders to keep you happy, strong, and healthy during these next few months.

1. Make time for some sunshine. ??

Daylight savings time will end on November 6! This means we’ll fall back one hour and lose some precious sunlight in the process. Try to wake up earlier than normal to soak in some vitamin D (especially if your classes run late).

Being a student during this time of year, it’s easy to fall into a routine that includes waking up, going to class, studying, and sleeping. Try and fit in some you-time, even if it’s just taking a quick walk in the early morning breeze!

2. Plan a weekend to do seasonal activities. ????

Farmer’s markets, Halloween haunts, apple picking, pumpkin picking, ice skating, Christmas markets … the list of seasonal activities goes on and on! Keep an eye out on CSI’s event calendar to stay up to date with what we have planned for you this year.

Don’t forget to check out events that are local to you! Grab your friends, layer up for the weather, and make some memories. Plus, these events are a GREAT opportunity for a seasonal photo op.

3. Nourish, nourish, nourish! ????

It can be tough to remember to eat during a busy semester, but it’s important to keep yourself nourished! Take advantage of seasonal fruits and vegetables that are available during the colder time of the year! Pick some apples for an apple pie or throw some dark leafy greens into a soup to keep you warm in the winter.

4. Stay connected with loved ones. ??

Call your parents, plan a movie night with friends, study together on FaceTime, whatever it may be, be sure to stay connected! Maintaining your relationships is key to getting through these colder months.
