How can I apply for CSI scholarships, bursaries, and awards?
You can apply for them by completing the My Awards Application on the Student Portal.
Health Plan and Insurance Questions

I’m a domestic student, what health coverage do I have access to?
As a domestic student, you would have access to the CSI Extended Health and Dental Plan.
This plan covers you for health costs including but not limited to:
Prescription drugs and vaccinations
Appointments with Massage therapy
Chiropractor and physiotherapy
Vision and dentalPlease note that this plan covers additional expenses not covered by OHIP

I’m an international student, what health coverage do I have access to?
As an international student you have two coverage plans.
Your first plan is the College International Health Insurance Plan (CIHIP), and it provides coverage for:
Medical appointments
Doctor’s checkups
Emergency hospital visits
Ambulance rides
X-rays and lab testing
Maternity
And more!Your secondary insurance covers you for additional costs not covered under your CIHIP coverage. This insurance is called the CSI Extended Health and Dental plan. This plan covers you for health costs including but not limited to:
Prescription drugs and vaccinations
Appointments with massage therapy, chiropractor and physiotherapy
Vision and dental -

What is the Legal Protection Program?
Legal Protection Program
You have access to a legal support form to ask questions about any area of law. If you have a case related to housing, employment, or academic concerns, you can receive a lawyer for your legal proceedings.

How can I book an appointment to see a doctor?
You can book an appointment through the Conestoga Medical clinic by emailing or calling. All appointments will be held over the phone during this time.

Where can I use my CSI Extended Health and Dental Plan?
You can use your Plan benefits anywhere in the world, but you may want to use a Studentcare Network Provider for additional savings! You can find a list of them and the discounts you will receive on their website using their search tool.

Where can I use my College International Health Insurance Plan (CIHIP)?
You can use your College International Health Insurance Plan (CIHIP) for services at any hospital, urgent care, or walk-in clinic. For a list of locations that offer direct billing, use this search tool.

Where can I get my coverage card?
Extended Health and Dental Plan
By presenting the Pay-Direct Card with your valid student ID card, you can fill your prescriptions at most Canadian pharmacies. The pharmacist will be able to process the claim immediately, so you won’t have to pay the full amount up front and wait to be reimbursed.

The coverage card for the College International Health Insurance Plan (CIHIP) will be emailed to your Conestoga College email. Don’t see it? Try checking your ‘Junk’ or ‘Spam’ folder! If you do not receive it, you can request a new one.

How are winners picked for prizes?
Most winners are picked at random and your chances of winning vary based on how many people enter. Other prizes may be won by demonstrating a skill, through a vote, or other methods and will be expressed in the contest rules.

What does the CSI Board of Directors do?
The CSI Board of Directors (or BOD) is here to represent you as a student during your time here at Conestoga to improve your student experience!

The CSI Board of Directors consists of a President, a Vice-President, and eight Directors who work together to ensure CSI is providing services, events, and advocacy that represents the wants and needs of Conestoga students.

How do I log in to my Student portal?
Access the Student Portal here
When you reach the login page for the student portal, you will be prompted for your Username/student number and your password. You can access the Portal for the first time using: Student Number (Your seven-digit Student Number, for example 1234567). Password (Your Date of Birth in an eight-digit format such as YYYYMMDD. On entering your birthdate in the correct format, you will be requested to enter a new password of your own choosing. Subsequent logins will require this new Password.
Note that your student password will also be used when accessing the College Portal and SIS (if applicable). -
