5 Grocery List Must-Buys

Here are some grocery list must-buys that can be used in so many different ways to make sure you aren’t always eating the same thing.

Beans are full of nutrients and can be a great meat substitute! You can add them to pasta, salad, or just eat them as a side. With so many ways to use them, it is always a good idea to have them in your cupboard.

Potatoes/Sweet Potatoes

With a long shelf life and arguably the ultimate side dish, you have to buy some potatoes. Mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, fried potatoes, French fries, shepherds pie, homemade chips, the list goes on and on for how you can use them!

Bananas offer a great morning snack and also a great ingredient for many recipes. You can use it in a smoothie, mash it and use it as an egg substitute, slice them and use it as a topping for waffles, ice cream, or oatmeal, or even make some banana muffins or bread!

When you don’t know what to make for dinner, pasta is an easy choice! You can buy it in all different shapes and lengths and make so many different variations that you will never get bored! Try using Greek salad dressing and feta cheese on it instead of tomato sauce and chop up some fresh vegetables to add to it! The possibilities are endless.

Frozen Fruits and Vegetables

When you limit how often you are going to the grocery store, you may run out of fresh fruits and vegetables for days. Keep some frozen fruits and vegetables around so you can still eat this important food group. They can be eaten as a side, a snack, or an ingredient in hundreds of recipes!

Don’t Forget the Hand Sanitizer/Soap

When you think of grocery shopping, don’t forget the essentials like hand sanitizer and soap! Stay healthy and make sure to practice physical distancing when going grocery shopping!
