Registered Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is a great way to help maintain your physical, mental and spiritual health. It promotes effective relaxation and provides stress relief in addition to treating various ailments. If you’ve remained on the Student Care health plan, you can access this service for the cost of the deductible. Health Plan claims will be made on your behalf up to the coverage limit.

Joanna Schisler

Joanna has been a registered massage therapist for 18 years. She has been training for 20 years and graduated from Sutherland-Chan Massage Therapy School and started her own practice in 1998. Prior to studying at Sutherland-Chan, she got her sociology degree from McMaster University in 1996.
Joanna continues to update her skills and train through taking courses frequently at massage conferences, through Sutherland-Chan and CCSH in Cambridge. She prides herself in doing whatever she can to improve herself and benefit her clientele.
Joanna loves massage because she loves the variety that it brings her in her day-to-day, and she loves helping people, whether that be in a physical, mental or spiritual sense.
She has seen it all in the massage world, with her youngest client being two weeks old and her oldest 94.

Chiropractor

Chiropractic adjustments help to remove postural imbalances and structural misalignments that can accumulate in our bodies over time. Left unchecked, these misalignments may lead to pain, stiffness or other more serious problems.
If you’ve remained on the Student Care health plan, you can access this service for the cost of the deductible. Health Plan claims will be made on your behalf up to the coverage limit.

Mike Eltervoog

Mike has been a chiropractor for 13 years, owning his own clinic in London, Ont. for the past four years and being Conestoga College’s on-campus Chiropractor for almost 10 years.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from The University of Western Ontario in 1999 and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago, Illinois in 2003.
He’s very passionate about being a Chiropractor because of how rewarding it is. He loves being able to reduce a patient’s pain and improve their mobility just by using his hands. He also loves seeing the relief that patient’s experience after a treatment and their improvements after subsequent visits, and his different plans that he tailors to each of his clients that all have different body types everyday.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy helps people affected by injury, illness or disability through movement, exercise, manual therapy, education and advice. They maintain the health and mobility for people of all ages, helping patients to manage pain and prevent disease.

Adam Davidson

A graduate of Lakehead University, the University of Ottawa and McMaster University, Adam has been practicing physiotherapy for 3 years. Adam is part of Eramosa Physiotherapy Associates’ (EPA) team of 50 physiotherapists. EPA is a physiotherapist owned practice that has been leaders and producing leaders in physiotherapy over the last 20 years. EPA is known to mentor physiotherapists, develop unique physiotherapy programs and is involved in both research and teaching at a University level. Adam has a special interest in treating concussions, as well as neck, shoulder, back and knee complaints in clients of all ages.
A life-long learner, Adam has continued his post-graduate training with three levels of advanced manual therapy training, contemporary medical acupuncture training, and several concussion courses and conferences.
Adam believes in using exercise and manual therapy techniques as the cornerstones of treatment to help empower his clients. He enjoys working with clients to develop and reach their functional goals. Adam’s personal interests include hockey, baseball, rowing, and the outdoors.

The On the Spot Pharmacy is a 24-hour self-serve pharmacy kiosk that provides you with over 500 over-the-counter and prescription medications. It’s fast, easy to use and convenient. The machine connects you with a pharmacist that provides you with the medication you require in under five seconds. With a dispensing fee of only $4.99, if you’re on the Student Care plan this is completely covered, and if you’re not, this is an affordable option that is cheaper than most pharmacies.

We have brought an On The Spot Pharmacy onto campus to dispense prepackaged medications as well as over-the-counter products at various strengths. Simply press the start button to begin the three easy steps: scan, speak and pay. Access a pharmacist available 24/7 through video conferencing for an instant consultation. For additional privacy, there is a handset to interact with the pharmacist. Fill or refill prescriptions on the fast and easy interactive screen. Pay with debit or credit on the spot.
The On the Spot Pharmacy is located in the Doon campus main building outside room 1A102, just off of the lower atrium.
