It’s easy for students to become so wrapped up in their studies that they miss the opportunity to make the most of their student experience by getting involved. Before you know it, graduation will be around the corner, and you will wish you had gotten involved in your student experience sooner!

Here are ways you can make the most of YOUR student experience:

Make Your Voice Heard!

Students are given a platform to be heard within Conestoga College and across all levels of government through CSI’s advocacy initiatives. They can act as contributing stakeholders to create meaningful change focused on the pillars of accountability, affordability, equity, and sustainability.

These pillars:

  • Provide tools and resources to inform and engage students
  • Ensure the cost of their student experience represents their interest
  • Create a collaborative and diverse community
  • Advocate for solutions to meet the needs of Conestoga students

Join the International Student Advisory Council!

This council gains the knowledge and feedback required to improve the experience of our International Students. The student members of this council provide feedback to the college on their experiences on various topics, such as coming to Canada or events at Conestoga. Student volunteers will also receive education on the college and their Canadian experience and opportunities for team bonding.

Run for Board of Directors!

Every winter semester, eight students are elected to the CSI Board of Directors to represent Conestoga College students and set the future vision of the organization. One of the eight Director positions is reserved for an Indigenous student to represent Indigenous voices at the highest decision-making level of CSI.

The Board of Directors works together to consider your experiences, feedback, and opinions to determine how CSI can best serve you and make your student experience the best it can be!
