At CSI, we want to give our students all the necessary information and support regarding housing and residing in Canada.

CSI’s Student Living Guide

CSI’s Student Living Guide gives students the necessary community resources for being a tenant/renter. The guide lists different supports, resources, safety information, emergency housing supports and more. Our Student Living Guide also highlights the rights & responsibilities of tenants so students can know and understand their rights while renting accommodations.

Places4Students.com

CSI has also partnered with places4students.com to help students find places to live around Conestoga College communities in six different cities.

Conestoga College Residence

Conestoga College Doon Campus also offers student residence for students who may require/want housing close to campus. Starting in the Fall of 2023, students who study at the Waterloo and Downtown Kitchener campuses also have the option to reside in residence.

Legal Protection Program

If you are in a dispute with your landlord over legalities, know that CSI protects students. You can access legal protection if you pay your health and legal coverage fees. Learn more here.

Scholarships

We understand that tuition fees, alongside the cost of living, is a daunting thought, so CSI offers students the opportunity to apply for different scholarships and bursaries to help with tuition costs. This webpage links to external scholarships and our scholarship and bursary databases (Conestoga College, Disability Awards, Scholarships Canada, Yconic).

SNAP

The Student Nutritional Access Program (SNAP) is a resource available to students to support Conestoga students’ nutrition, health and wellness needs. We want students to have a healthy relationship with food. Our SNAP Emergency Food Fund is available to students who need emergency food while facing financial insecurity or at risk of experiencing food insecurity in the immediate future.

CSI also offers a Free Food Farmer’s Market once per semester, bringing fresh fruit, vegetables, and other perishables to students directly on campus. When on campus, drop by the CSI Service Hub for the Nourish & Go Program that happens on a weekly basis. This program provides students with grab-and-go fruit/snacks at no cost.

Employment Opportunities

We also are proud to provide paid part-time work and co-op opportunities to students all year long. CSI has positions available in different departments on different campuses to provide students with valuable experience outside of the classroom. Conestoga College’s Work Study Program

If these positions do not spark interest, check out the Conestoga Work-Study program! This program is run through Conestoga College and gives students the opportunity to find work during their time studying at Conestoga College.
