Hello Condors, it’s officially Market Week, a time when we celebrate our local farmers markets! If you want to learn what a farmers’ market is and how to get to one, look no further!

What is a Farmers Market?

A farmers market is a special place where local farmers and producers come together to sell their fresh food and homemade products directly to people in the community. Anyone can come and buy delicious fruits, vegetables, meats, bread and other goodies. By shopping at farmers markets, you get to support local farmers and businesses while enjoying the freshest, tastiest ingredients. It’s an amazing way to connect with your community, try new foods, and appreciate the hard work that goes into growing and making the things we eat daily.

Where can I find a Farmers Market?

There are plenty of Farmers Markets all over Ontario’s many communities, but for a first-time visit, check out these Farmers Markets near Conestoga campuses!
