Your guide to Cultural Diversity Week

Cultural Diversity Week happens every year and is held to celebrate our very diverse and forever growing population of students! Between food, events like cultural themed trivia and a Talents of the World talent show, there is no shortage of activities to participate in. See below for your guide to Cultural Diversity Week, taking place from Oct.15-19:

1. Cultural themed trivia

Do you have cultural or global knowledge? If so, then this trivia is perfect for you. Head to The Venue from 12-2 p.m. and answer questions about culture and the world and get a chance to win a prize for you and your team!

If you’re at Guelph campus, then you can enjoy cultural trivia on Tuesday in your main cafeteria and if you’re at Cambridge, you can enjoy it in your caf on Thursday. Bring your “A game” on world knowledge and get a chance to win a prize for you and your friends!

2. Talents of the World Talent Show

Do you have a special talent? We’re calling on all singers, dancers, story tellers, traditions from your home country and more to the Talents of the World Talent Show! You can sign up for it in the Service Hub before the event takes place. It will be taking place in The Venue from 11 am-1 pm and the winner will receive $100 in Condor Cash! Have questions about the Talent Show? Just forward them over to Anthony Sawyers at asawyers@conestogac.on.ca.

3. Live Music Thursday featuring Kenn Lewis

Get a feel for the Caribbean at Live Music Thursday in The Venue featuring Kenn Lewis! Watch his inspiring and incredible steel pan skills and get those island vibes in the middle of fall. He will take the stage from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and you’ll also be able to enjoy the Thirsty Thursday app, which features ½ price wings and $4.99 domestic pints!

Those are all of the features of Cultural Diversity Week! Feel free to express yourself and your culture in this week and participate in these activities and more. Have questions about Cultural Diversity Week? Just forward them over to Anthony Sawyers at asawyers@conestogac.on.ca. See you there, Condors!
