CSI Food Banks

The CSI Food Bank is a partner agency of The Food Bank of Waterloo Region. The CSI Food Bank distributes regular, vegetarian and family-sized food hampers with a 3-day supply of non-perishable food items and the choice of a couple hygiene items. Students can apply to receive a hamper once per calendar month.

The CSI Food Bank is an emergency food support service for students who are struggling financially or experiencing a tough situation.

Please note that we do not offer “free groceries.” The CSI Food Bank is meant to help those who are struggling financially while in school. Our service is run on donations and resources are limited.

Once approved, your emergency food hamper can be available for pick-up at your preferred campus.

If you are in urgent need of food, The Food Bank of Waterloo Region has member agencies across the region that you can access.

Interested in donating to the Food Bank?

We graciously accept donations of non-perishable food for the CSI Food Bank. Food donations can be dropped off to room 2A119 at Doon. Items of we are in need of include:

  • Instant noodles/soup
  • Canned meat/fish
  • Canned fruit
  • Canned vegetables
  • Toothpaste

  • Canned pasta
  • Dried or canned beans
  • Rice
  • Peanut butter
  • Toilet paper

  • Sanitary pads
  • International/specialty food items (ex: coconut milk, rice noodles, curry paste, couscous, quinoa, halal canned meat, etc.)

Please note, we cannot accept food items that are expired.
