The traditional CSI Food Bank is closed temporarily
We have launched a temporary relief program in the mean time.
CSI Food Banks
The CSI Food Bank is a partner agency of The Food Bank of Waterloo Region. The CSI Food Bank distributes regular, vegetarian and family-sized food hampers with a 3-day supply of non-perishable food items and the choice of a couple hygiene items. Students can apply to receive a hamper once per calendar month.
The CSI Food Bank is an emergency food support service for students who are struggling financially or experiencing a tough situation.
Policies & Guidelines
Please note that we do not offer “free groceries.” The CSI Food Bank is meant to help those who are struggling financially while in school. Our service is run on donations and resources are limited.
To apply to receive a food hamper, please complete the application form below. Student information is recorded in The Food Bank of Waterloo Region’s client database, Link2Feed. All information is kept strictly confidential.
Completing an application form is only needed the first time a student accesses the CSI Food Bank. Returning users may request a hamper through the request form linked below.
After submitting an application form or request form, students will be contacted in 1-2 business days (our office is closed on the weekend) with details on when and where to pick up your food hamper. Hampers will be available for pick-up at your preferred campus. You must pick up your hamper within a week of receiving confirmation that your hamper is ready.
All CSI events and services are suspended until further notice.
While the CSI Food Bank is closed, we can direct you to another agency of The Food Bank of Waterloo Region that can assist you. You can find a community food hamper program near you at this link:
