Gentle Yoga

Wind down your day with a gentle yoga practice that will leave you feeling calm, open and relaxed. You can expect a mix of seated and standing poses where we’ll stretch, strengthen, and breath. The class starts with a grounding to bring focus and calm to the mind, the movement portion is slow with longer holds, and there is time at the end for light breathwork and relaxation.

Create Your Healthy Plate

Join our Health Promotor, Tiffany, as she takes you through the basics of how to create a well-balanced meal. The workshop will start with knowledge around what a healthy plate looks like, followed by a cooking session. Together, we will prepare a nutritious lunch and snack to provide you with healthy and easy ideas for your busy week. We will send you ingredients to have on hand prior to meeting!

Emotional Intelligence

In order to understand issues of diversity and inclusion it is important to have insight into our own emotions and the impact they have on understanding the experiences of other people. In this workshop, participants will learn how to increase self-reflection, empathy, and self-regulation to strengthen relationships and deepen understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion.

This workshop is intended to be the first in the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Workshop Series, followed by Managing Difficult Conversations and Anti-Racism and Anti-Oppression. Students are encouraged to participate in all three to increase learning and understanding but each workshop is valuable on its own.

Healthy Relationships

CSI’s Emergency Food Bank

The CSI Food Bank is a partner agency of The Food Bank of Waterloo Region. The CSI Food Bank distributes regular, vegetarian and family-sized food hampers with a 3-day supply of non-perishable food items and the choice of a couple of hygiene items. Students can apply to receive a hamper once per calendar month.
