Applications now open for GRT Strike Relief Fund

Conestoga College students who purchased a GRT Term Pass on campus are eligible to apply for financial assistance to cover costs incurred as a result of the Grand River Transit (GRT) strike.

If you purchased a semester pass on campus,

You can apply for the GRT Strike Relief Fund to receive up to a maximum of $200 in relief.

If you purchased a 4-month college pass directly through GRT:

Refunds will be handled directly through GRT.

If you are a student attending classes, or on a co-op term and incurred additional costs due to the GRT strike, you can also apply for the GRT Strike Relief Fund and submit receipts to receive a maximum of $200 in relief.

Additionally, GRT is offering free weekend service for the month of February:

  • Feb. 1-2
  • Feb. 8-9
  • Feb. 15-17 (including the Family Day holiday)
  • Feb. 22-23
  • Feb. 29
