About CSI’s Global Service Leadership Trip

This component of the Leadership Development Program is designed to send interested students to do good work in areas of the world less fortunate than Canada. Sign up to be a part of the GSL team where you will raise money throughout the year to fund your trip.

The GSL trip takes place during the winter Student Success week in February 2018

Students were sent to San Jose, Costa Rica during Student Success week of the winter semester (February 25-March 5, 2017) to take part in a construction project.

In participating, you will foster a better understanding of global communities and contribute to community development. Additionally, you will develop a respect and understanding of diverse people living in other countries.

Get recognized on the Co-Curricular Record for participating in the GSL Trip and receive a certificate for your professional portfolio!

If you are interested in participating in the GSL trip, you must attend information sessions during the fall semester. There are a limited number of students who can participate in this great opportunity. Students are expected to fund their own trip, but CSI will help facilitate fundraising efforts to reduce the cost.

Check back here in September for details on information sessions as they become available.

CSI’s Leadership Development Coordinator would be happy to talk to you about any questions or concerns you have about this topic.
