On the Spot Pharmacy and the OHIP+ program effective Jan. 1, 2018

As part of your Conestoga Student Benefits, you now have access to 24/7/365 pharmacy services from On The Spot Rx Pharmacy who fully supports your drug benefits plan, any coordination of benefits you may have, and the new OHIP+ program that took effect January 1st, 2018.

The province now provides free prescription drugs coverage for those 24 years of age and under regardless of family income. All students or family members who qualify for OHIP+ will have access to over 4400 medications and other drug products at no cost: no co-payments or annual deductible fees.

Enrolment into OHIP+ is automatic based on age, all you need to present to On The Spot Rx Pharmacy is your health card number and any valid prescription you may have, or wish to transfer from another pharmacy. If you are already a patient, or preregistered with the pharmacy, you still need to provide your health card number to ensure your prescription medications are covered by the new OHIP+ program.

To check if a medication is covered by the OHIP+ Formulary you can visit the web site link
https://www.ontario.ca/page/check-medication-coverage/ or just go to the pharmacy kiosk outside the Medical Care Clinic and [Touch Here To Start] select to connect to the pharmacy and talk to a ‘live’ pharmacist to ask about what drugs are covered and all the pharmacy services available to you.
